Pegasus Credit Union
OBJECTIVES:
Increase new accounts and/or deposits with public awareness of this financial institution thru outreach by the Business Development Department.
STRATEGY:
Have a promotional item that is of value and usefulness to be handed out when attending events and making calls on prospective new account holders. Item selected is of high quality and fits the “texas” target market.
TACTICS:
- Advertise in local papers promoting Share Deposits and Certificates rates.
- Visit local business.
- Attend Expo’s and Events.
- Arrange “Lunch and Learn” sessions in office buildings thru property management.
- Have a promotional item available to hand out that will be useful and appreciated by the prospect.
RESULTS:
This is a new and ongoing project. One example from the promotion: A new member drove 40 miles to the downtown Dallas location to open his account. He received the very nice travel mug as a gift for his deposit. The next day, he brought his wife in to open her own account with a $100,000 share certificate deposit as well. When told she would be getting a mug for her deposit, her husband quickly said that she had taken his away the day before, so he had to bring her in to the office to open her own account so that he could get another!
