Remember Business Gifts on Your Holiday List This Season!

The holidays are right around the corner so gift buying is speeding up fast. But personal holiday shopping isn’t the only kind going on within businesses. Employer business gifts are an effective economic marketing tool to enhance customer relationships and employee loyalty. They are a justifiable expense because they benefit the giver as well, either by increased sales or more effort. Richard Nalson from LSU was selected to do a study entitled “Business Gifts Survey: What Do Buyers Say?” for the PPAI. He found that the top 4 reasons for companies to give business gifts are:

  1. Thank customers (83%)
  2. Develop business (56%)
  3. Recognize employee performance and longevity (25%)
  4. Customers expect them (10%)

Another finding was that more than 8 out of 10 companies give business gifts. Over 50% of the respondents in the survey said the most popular time to give out business gifts was during the year-end holidays. Since it is close to the end of the year, it is easier to see how much money is left in the budget to spend on these gifts. The typical price point of a business gift is only between $10 and $29, and the IRS says you can write it off if it’s under $25. And the most popular gift category given is office accessories, followed by gift certificates, food/liquor/wine, and finally personal gifts.

Here are some of our executive gifts (all under $25) to give this holiday season…
